Granger St. Studios is passionate about reaching all learners. We make things accessible and fun!

Each workshop includes three activities that are visually stimulating, engaging, and fun! 

Workshops include a Visual Thinking Strategies session (a facilitator-guided discussion that uses a piece of art to elicit responses and discussion), colorful art making experience, and reminiscing using creative strategies to encourage conversation!

Art Tissue Collage is a great way to encourage fine motor skills while working with bright colors.

We love working with our seniors! They are treasures and Granger St. Studios is on a mission to give them the respect they've earned and the ability to continue growing and experiencing life through the joy of art!

• A Granger St. Studios staff member is on site for every 20 participants.

• All levels of residents are welcomed and encouraged! We know how to motivate residents to participate and the "reluctant artist" is our specialty!

Workshops for up to 15 participants ($15 for each additional participant)

Minds & Hearts:   $250 ($15 for each additional participant)

This highly engaging workshop includes the VTS component (both cognitively rewarding and community building!), a "Tissue Landscape Painting” experience, and an interactive reading of “Hilda’s Story: New Bedford, Massachusetts.”

Participants walk away from this workshop with deeper knowledge about a famous work of art along with the inexplicable wonder that comes from connecting your body and spirit with art materials. We welcome all levels to attend. This is a 1.5 hour workshop.                                               

Art for All: $200  (recommend 20 or fewer participants)

A “budget friendly” 1.25 hour version of our popular "Minds & Hearts" workshop! Watch your day go from typical to terrific!

This experience includes a VTS discussion, Colorful Art session, and more. We always follow up with photos of the session for your newsletter and are continually developing new fun and colorful activities for our repeat clients!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Independent and Assisted Living residents love seeing how they can turn a ‘mess’ of color into something they are proud of. This workshop is also appropriate for residents receiving more intense levels of service (such as those receiving support in assisted living facilities, dementia and memory care units, rehabilitation, or other skilled nursing situations).
